 The line graph provides information about the number of unemployment which was compared between the United State and Japan during March 1993 to March 1999.


It can be immediately seen from the data that the percentage of the employment in the US faced a drop. The figure started from around 7 per cent in March 1993. And then, it went down rapidly to 5.5 per cent in March 1996. After that, there was a slight decline to 5 per cent in the ending.


Conversely, there was a growth in Japanese worker. The figure rose steadily from 3 per cent in March 1993 to approximately 4.4 per cent in March 1996, and it leveled out at the same percentage for 2 years. Finally, it was a slow rise to 5 per cent in March 1999.


To sum up, the proportion of the United State employees experienced a downward trend while that saw an upward trend in Japan. (156 words/22 mins)
