The line graph provides information about the proportion of three different activities (swimming, team sports and gym activities) which was participated by a UK sports club member during 1983 to 2003.

 

It can be immediately seen from the data that the interactive of gym activities increased between 1983 and 2003. The figure jumped significantly from 5 per cent to around 25 per cent. Similarly, there was a slightly growth in team sports that rose from approximately 33 per cent in 1983 to 40 per cent in 1998 and then dropped sharply to the same percentage as the begin of the period.  

On the contrary, the rates of participation in swimming dropped. The figure fell dramatically from 50 per cent in 1983 to around 15 per cent in 1998 after that retained at 15 per cent until 2003.

 

From an overall observation, it is apparent that the number of participators in swimming faced a downward trend while that of gym activities experienced an upward trend.

    "the begin of the period" in body 1 should be " the beginning of the period" because begin is a verb.
