The map below show changes that took place in Youngsville in New Zealand over a 25-year period from 1980 to 2005.
The maps indicate the transformations that occurred in Youngsville in New Zealand between 1980 and 2005.
It can be immediately seen from the maps that over the period of 25 years the village faced several changes. To begin with, in the south of the Alanan river all the trees and houses were removed. Moreover, two skyscrapers were built along the railway. Also, factories and warehouses were constructed instead of the woodland.
In the north of the river, almost all trees were cut down. Furthermore, every single house was knocked down in order to expand the railway. Also, a stadium was erected in the north-east of the lake. In addition, a park, a golf course and two parking areas were built surround the lake. At the same time, the hospital was left.
From an overall observation, it is apparent that Youngsville was completely changed from a rural to an urban place. (150words / 22mins)
