Writing Dynamic Data - P2
The bar chart provides information about the time spending in telephone calls which was separated into categories in the United Kingdom between 1995 and 2002.
It can be immediately seen from the data that the usage on the mobiles (all calls) grew during the period. The figure jumped dramatically from around 3 billion minutes to just over 45 billion minutes. Similarly, there was a growth in the national and international fixed line. It climbed significantly from approximately 38 billion minutes to about 61 billion minutes at the same time.
On the contrary, the total number of the local fixed line calls experienced a drop. The figure increased steadily from nearly 73 billion minutes in the beginning of the period to around 92 billion minutes in 1999, and then it went down slightly to 70 billion minutes in 2002.
From an overall observation, it is apparent that the time spending of the national and international fixed line and the mobile calls faced an upward trend. Even though, the usage of the local fixed line saw a downward trend. It was the largest of the telephone usage calls in the United Kingdom.
